It was another superb fishing trip with Captain Mike Smith today. The initial tally was over 40 snook released in just 3 hours near Pine Island.
We could have easily doubled that number of releases, but we ceased operations when a cherrypicking skiff that was following us this morning arrived at our cubbyhole.
We moved after his unwelcome arrival and at the next spot, I caught a nice redfish- which gave me a pleasing West Coast Slam.
